Tony and Drusilla Read

Tony and Dru came to Hong Kong in 1986 and have been part of this church since almost the day they arrived. They have made Hong Kong their family home and are committed to staying here. Tony has been an engineer with Ove Arup and Partners and they love serving the people of Hong Kong through The Vine. They have been involved in the leadership of the church for most of their time here, and have spearheaded the introduction of PLUS groups, The Vine's midweek ministries where most of the church's pastoral care takes place.

Drusilla was instrumental in the development of our children's ministry and more recently, our Oasis wholeness and restoration centre. Tony started The Vine's Prison/ Refugee Ministry and together they have been responsible for the Cleansing Stream Ministry in The Vine. They have a wonderful gift of hospitality, as the many familes staying in their home and the even bigger numbers who have enjoyed home cooking there will testify. They have four children and a grandchild and the concept of family has always been a strong for them, as they see the church as a family.
